I designed QuickDrops
because I couldn’t find what I needed anywhere on the market and
dropshotting had become an important tool in my tournament arsenal.
QuickDrops are specifically designed to give you the same compact size
and straight fall of round weights, without the annoying rolling on the
bottom that deadens the feel of the bottom. While testing this design,
it became immediately apparent that this shape prevents the weight from
snagging rocks on the bottom, and even weeds. It was further discovered
that the shape is easy to grip and release when making underhand
pitches. This makes casting a dropshot rig under docks and low hanging
branches possible with pinpoint precision.
Try these weights just once and you will see for yourself the advantage
of a teardrop shaped weight when dropshotting.
QuickDrops also make an excellent choice for Carolina Rigging over
gravel or rocky bottoms. Just tie a barrel swivel between your
leader and your main line, and leave about a one-half inch end of
monofilament at your swivel knot to attach the QuickDrop. This rig is
also dynamite for steelhead and salmon in rivers! You will feel more
bites, and get fewer snags.

QuickDrops Owner Marc Marcantonio and QuickDrops Prostaffer Mike Matkowski win the 2006 Northwest Bass Championships! Marc and Mike won the boat and cash totaling $42,000 (including $2,000 of Skeeter Real Money) while dropswimming the Columbia River with 3/8 oz QuickDrops. Conditions were tough, which made the 2-day tournament custom-made for dropswimming small plastics over gravel. Marc and Mike weighed the biggest bag both days, ending with a total over 34 pounds for 10 bass, including a 5.62 smallmouth!
QuickDrops Prostaffer Ron Hobbs Jr. wins the 2006 ABA Washington West Region with partner Jonas Petite, and Ron is also crowned as The Washington Bass Federation Angler of the Year for 2006! QuickDrops prostaff sweep three tournament circuits in the Pacific Northwest for 2004! The team of Marc Marcantonio and Ron Hobbs Jr. win Angler of the Year in the American Bass Anglers Northwest Travelors' Region (WA, OR, & ID) largely on the strength of QuickDrops and their deadly dropswimming technique. Marc and Ron also ran away with the ABA Washington West Region, easily winning AOY.
